White Water Rafting - Class III – IV Experience the full explosion of excitement, which is the thrill of white water rafting! After an early morning pickup from your San Jose hotel, we will go to our Operations Center for a delicious, typical Costa Rican breakfast. Later the equipment will be given, and a specialized guide will instruct you on how to manage yourself into the strong currents of the river. Once at the river at our private put-in, you'll raft 16 miles deep in the heart of densely vegetated gorges, past gushing waterfalls, serene pools and pounding rapids, in one of Costa Rica's most impressive primary rainforests. The scenery while rafting is just marvelous plus the power of the waters will transport you into a great wild adventure. The Pacuare River is one of the top five rafting rivers in the world for its scenery and rapids. After an adrenaline-packed day, after we finish, a short drive the Operations Center for a hearty and delicious lunch, showers, and optional drinks. On the return drive to San José, you'll enjoy remarkable views of Braulio Carrillo National Park and Irazu Volcano. This unforgettable trip will easily be a highlight of your stay in Costa Rica. Pacific Island Cruise Our guide will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning, and then drive on an air-conditioned bus to the Pacific port of Puntarenas; this is an excellent opportunity to view the coffee, sugar plantations and volcanic mountains, stopping along the way for Costa Rican typical breakfast. Then you will board the Manta Raya catamaran for a full-day, relaxing and delightful cruise: it will take you through the Gulf of Nicoya en route to island: the crew pampers guests with fresh tropical fruits and drinks, meanwhile listening to a live band’s tropical music. Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate white sand beach and turquoise waters, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and Calypso's famous lunch. There is plenty of time to enjoy. Canopy Turubari. Our guide will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning. You will enjoy the scenic views as we travel west the Central Valley. Upon arrival you will receive instructions of the basics needed to make this experience an enjoyable and safe one. This is the adventure that lets you roam around the treetops leaping from platform to platform, in a special system of steel cables using professional climbing gear. This excursion requires no previous experience: Proficiency Level = Easy! Each trip between the 12 platforms and 8 cables with a total distance of 1497 meters is a unique experience in itself, ending up inside the park you will be able to enjoy a home-style lunch at the private reserve. Manuel Antonio National Park and Beach Early morning we’ll travel toward the Pacific Coast: our route winds through the mountains of the central valley from where we can glimpse majestic views and some picturesque towns. Stop at Tarcoles River for a light breakfast and to observe the caimans on the riverbanks. We’ll continue the drive along the scenic Southern Coastal Highway through palm plantations and several towns until reaching the port of Quepos, then just a short drive to Manuel Antonio national Park entrance. The park is a protected area with impressive scenery: white sand beaches and green foliage in the midst of imposing mountains - a tropical rainforest zone protecting patches of primary and secondary forest, mangroves, beach vegetation, marine habitats, islands and a 14-hectare lagoon. Upon arrival we will take a walk along trails to look at the park's flora and fauna. Some of the most outstanding fauna includes sloths, monkeys and large cats. There are also abundant marine animals. The tour guide will lead you into a beautiful white sand beach, where we'll have time to bathe in the crystalline waters of the Pacific Ocean or simply soak up the sun. Horse back riding. Early morning our guide will pick you up, and head up to the mountains surrounding the Central Valley. Along the way you will be able to glimpse some typical Costa Rican Towns and enjoy the variety of vegetation, and the scenery of coffee fields and other farms. Also you will experience the climate changes, a common characteristic of the country. At the location you will enjoy its nature rich environment; trained guides will assure you a safe and remarkable experience, with a selection of beautiful and well-mannered horses, available for your riding pleasure. An adequate horse will be assign according with experience. Now you are ready for a great experience through the trails combining pasture, forest and rivers. An experienced bilingual guide wrangler will accompany you to enhance your experience. Arenal Volcano plus Tabacon Hot Springs Resort and dinner Early morning our guide will pick you up and take to Arenal Volcano area: a beautiful tropical forest surrounds a pristine lake, and in the background, a majestic active volcano displays a living river of light that attracts nature enthusiasts from around the globe: from time to time the eruptions are accompanied with powerful thunders and if the weather permits, you will have the opportunity to see the lava, the event will be astounding! Your guide will take you to do some safe hike on this area, according with your physical level. After that a short drive to famous Tabacon Resort: with its lavish grounds and natural hot springs pools and waterfalls, where you can enjoy a healthy and relaxing soak in the calming waters, meanwhile admiring at the distance the volcano magnificent views; certainly another unforgettable experience!.
