This nature travel would start on an early note.early transfer to domestic airport for a scenic flight to Palmar; then a ground transfer to our embarkation point for a boat ride to the Lodge. There are no roads to the Lodge, access is only by motor launch from the remote town of Sierpe, located on a wide winding river of the same day. HIGHLIGHT TOUR: 10 hours This complete tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy the highlights of Costa Rica in one full day. First we’ll take you to see Poas Volcano, one of the most famous volcanoes due to its enormous crater. Then, you will continue your journey, while your tour guide gives you an overview of the tour, you will be able to stop for photos at the picturesque La Paz and San Fernando Waterfalls. At Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui, we will board the boat to discover the richness of Costa Rica’s nature along the Sarapiqui River. The boat rides will last 2 hours, time to witness the magnificent rain forest and its habitants, such toucans, monkeys, slots, crocodiles… At the end of the river adventure, you will be arriving to a private farm, to enjoy a home-style lunch and then you can hike on one of the nature trails or explore the surroundings on horseback.
